LED fixtures use a fraction of the power older bulbs did and last far longer, which makes a full yard of light practical to run every night. Outdoors in Florida, sealed connections and fixtures built for wet weather matter as much as the fixtures themselves.
If your property is on the beach, local sea turtle lighting rules limit light that can be seen from the beach during nesting season. Fixture type, direction and color all count, so plan the beach side of the house with care.

Why low voltage?
Low-voltage systems are safer to work around in the garden, easy to adjust as plants grow, and efficient with LED fixtures.
How many lights does a yard need?
Fewer than most people think. A handful of well placed fixtures on the house, the main palms and the walkway usually does more than a long row of path lights.
Can lighting be added to an existing landscape?
Yes. Low-voltage wiring can run through existing beds with little disturbance, and fixtures can be tucked in among plants that are already established.
